When you contact Gentle Heart Doula Care, you will be speaking directly with me! As the owner and primary doula of Gentle Heart Doula Care, I pride myself on providing high quality, affordable, and accessible birth doula support to expectant families in Wichita, Kansas.
I was born and raised right here in the community surrounding Wichita, Kansas. I married my long-time best friend in 2023 and our days are filled with caring for our little homestead!
I trained as a birth doula through Childbirth International. They are ANCC accredited and offer over 200 hours of comprehensive education! I enjoy continuing to learn more about the physiology of natural birth so more moms can have empowered, natural hospital birth experiences!
My heart and passion has always been for supporting other women. It’s why I became a nurse, and it’s why I became a doula! Gentle Heart Doula Care is more than just a job for me — it is a calling. This is where the Lord has led me and I am proud to serve expecting families in this way! Truly, NOTHING brings me greater joy than getting to be your cheerleader and trusted resource as you journey through pregnancy and birth.

After years of my experience as a Registered Nurse, I knew I wanted to support more women in a deeper way. Enter–my ✨ birth doula era ✨
What I quickly discovered was that while the majority of pregnant women I talked to wanted an unmedicated birth…statistics proved that 60% of women will get the epidural during labor.
Pssst! And if that’s for pain relief because you truly, really want it??? I will be your cheerleader all the way!!! BUT that’s not always the case.
Hospital births can be more challenging to achieve your birth goals…so what are we doing about it? How are we preparing women to enter the hospital system and still stay in control of their own birth experience? That’s the problem I set out to solve.

When you book your Wichita birth doula with Gentle Heart Doula Care you get two caring, talented professional doulas on your team to provide the ultimate level of pregnancy & birth support!
Your primary doula will take the majority of on-call time during your pregnancy as we await baby’s arrival!
Because birthworkers have an average burnout of about 2 years and I want to continue serving our community for much much longer than that, you will also have a secondary doula on your team!
The benefit having a doula team makes:
- 24/7 call throughout your entire pregnancy, not just the weeks surrounding your due date!
- Longer active labor support – by working with other doulas in the community, I can offer my mothers unlimited active labor support!
- Meet the backup BEFORE the birth! – Clients can enjoy getting to meet their backup doula during pregnancy and developing that relationship with them as well!
What’s even better? You will never have more than two doulas on your team so you can continue to develop the same intimate, personal relationships.
